Motor Fuel Group has rolled out over 1,200 payment terminals across its EV charging network thanks to its partnership with French payment processor Worldline.
The forecourt giant, which has been working with Worldline since 2024, is expected to continue the rollout “at pace” in 2026 as part of its broader £400m EV infrastructure investment.
MFG said the “quick, simple and secure” payment option at its charging stations was helping to remove barriers to EV adoption.
It added that Worldline’s hardware and software had also improved charger operational efficiency by over 20%.
“At MFG, we are committed to making the transition to electric vehicles as straightforward as possible for UK drivers and businesses,” said MFG EV director Martin Symes.
“Our partnership with Worldline means customers can rely on fast, secure, and convenient payments at our ultra-rapid and rapid charging points nationwide. This investment is a key part of our wider £400m programme to accelerate EV adoption and support the UK’s climate goals.”
Caspar van Roon, UK & EU lead business development manager for petrol & energy at Worldline, added: “We are proud to support MFG’s ambitious rollout of rapid EV charging across the UK.
“By providing advanced, secure payment solutions, we are helping to remove barriers for EV drivers and creating a seamless experience for UK businesses and consumers alike. Our collaboration with MFG demonstrates how payment innovation can drive operational efficiency and support the UK’s shift to sustainable transport.”
