Morrisons has launched a new premium dine-in-for-two meal deal offer.
At £10 regular price, the Best Dine-In meal deal – which launched in stores and online this week – is £5 cheaper than equivalent offers at Sainsbury’s and Tesco.
However, it is initially only running for a limited period until 5 October, as Morrisons looks to showcase its newly relaunched fresh food offer.
The offer consists of a starter, a main meal, a side and a dessert, all from Morrisons’ premium tier, The Best. It does not require a Morrisons More card to access the offer.
To start, shoppers can choose from a selection of five premium starters, including Scottish Mussels in Red Wine & Chorizo Sauce, a Goats Cheese, Vintage Cheddar and Caramelised Onion Tart as well as Tempura King Prawns with Sweet Chilli Dip.
The nine main options include a Ranch Steak with Black Garlic Butter, Chicken Bacon & Leek Pie, and Spinach & Ricotta Cannelloni.
They can be accompanied by a choice of seven sides, including Triple Cooked Chunky Chips, a Green Veg Medley or a Herb Flatbread. For dessert, shoppers can choose from seven desserts including a Chocolate & Cherry Panna Cotta, Best Treacle Tarts, or a Sicilian Lemon Cheesecake.
“As we move into autumn and daily life starts to get busy again, we know customers are looking for simple ways to enjoy high-quality meals at home,” said Amy Austin, fresh food commercial director at Morrisons.
“For those craving something indulgent and comforting as the cold nights draw in, our £10 The Best Dine-In meal deal offers great value and flavour.”
It is the first time Morrisons has launched a premium meal deal offer, outside of its Valentine’s Day dine-in-for-two offer for £15.

The supermarket has not confirmed whether it intends to permanently introduce the offer, or whether it will remain at the £10 price point.
Both Sainsbury’s and Tesco have increased the price of their premium meal deal offers during the past year, from £12 to £15, a hike of 25%.
Both also include a main, a side and a dessert, but are only available to loyalty card holders.
Waitrose, with its No.1 range, and M&S, with its Gastropub Dine In range, also charge £15 for their respective offers, however both offer the choice of either a starter or a dessert alongside a main and a side.
Asda is much more competitive with its Bistro meal deal offer of a starter, a main, a side and a dessert for £10.97. However it is only available on a very limited choice of nine products.
