Starbucks UK is committing to providing another 40 apprenticeship places in the coming months, as part of its aim to support long-term careers across the business.
Apprenticeships at the coffee giant span a range of roles and levels, including Level 2 entry-level barista apprenticeships, advanced professional qualifications for senior leaders, and a fast-track leadership programme enabling apprentices to progress to store manager roles in as little as 13 months.
Those recruited as part of this latest intake will join nearly 250 people already on apprenticeship schemes with the business.
Reina Dynora Fernandez Zamora, a deputy store manager in Turnham Green, joined Starbucks’ Accelerated Leadership Programme in 2025.
“Since joining the programme, I see a completely different version of myself,” she said. ”I didn’t know how to manage a team or make sure everyone felt supported before, but now I feel much more confident.
“I’d 100% recommend it – it helps you become more open-minded and shows you that every problem has a solution, which you can always find together as a team.”
It comes as Aldi unveiled plans last month to create 500 apprenticeship roles this year in stores and warehouses across the country.
Store apprentices outside London will start on £12.02, while those working within the M25 will earn £13.22 an hour. Meanwhile, apprentices in warehouse roles can earn up to £12.63 per hour.
