Danny Celoni

Most recently, Celoni was the CEO of Asahi-group owned Carlton and United Breweries in Australia

Newly formed wine business Vinarchy has appointed Danny Celoni as its CEO.

Celoni would bring “more than 25 years of fmcg and global branded beverage experience” to Vinarchy, the company said.

Most recently, Celoni was the CEO of Asahi-group owned Carlton and United Breweries in Australia. Prior to this he was CEO of PepsiCo Australia and New Zealand.

Between 1995 and 2012, he worked in various executive roles throughout the Asia-Pacific region for Diageo.

Current Vinarchy executive chairman Ben Clarke will become non-executive chairman concurrent with Celoni joining as CEO in August 2025.

Clarke said: “On behalf of the board I am delighted to welcome Danny to Vinarchy. He is a leader who champions a growth mindset and has a strong track record in driving transformational growth and category leadership through exceptional customer relationships. Danny is the right person to lead our business as we capture the opportunities as a global wine leader.”

Celoni added: “Vinarchy is well positioned to play a leading role in the future growth and expansion of the wine category. Our rich heritage, combined with our established brands, capabilities, and unwavering commitment to customer and consumer centricity provides an exceptional platform for driving core category growth, differentiated innovation and value creation.”

Vinarchy was formed last month following the merger of Accolade Wines and Pernod Ricard’s strategic international wine business. It is one of the world’s largest wine companies, employing more than 1,600 people globally.

Combined, its brands – which include Hardys, Jam Shed, Brancott Estate and Campo Viejo – generate over $A1.5bn (£720m) in annual net sales revenue.
