Reynolds recorded record sales of £178m last year

Reynolds Catering Supplies is targeting sales of £300m and expanding the size of its Waltham Cross depot as part of a five-year growth strategy.

The foodservice operator, which supplies fresh produce to companies including PizzaExpress and Pret a Manger, reported “record sales” of £178m for the year to 31 December 2013 and is eyeing sales of £300m by 2019.

“This year, we shall break the £200m mark,” said MD Tony Reynolds. “The next major milestone within our five year plan will be annual sales of £300m, which we fully expect to achieve within a few years’ time.”

The company would also invest in expanding the size of its Waltham Cross national distribution centre by 72,000 sq ft, he added, to “ensure we have the capacity to meet planned future growth and maintain our high standard of service across the UK”.

It had also invested “heavily” in IT, food development, procurement and marketing.

“We had some great new recent business wins recently,” Reynolds added. “Historically, our business has grown alongside ambitious operators, and this year will be no different.”
