What was your first-ever job? At school I started a company called Tops Off, which manufactured and sold credit card-sized bottle openers. A group of 16-year-olds offering people “help to get their Tops Off” certainly attracted attention!

What was your worst job interview? As a mystery shopper for food retail outlets, I missed out on an opportunity to review a well-known fast food restaurant after accidentally telling them my favourite item on their menu was their competitor’s best selling product!

What was the first music single you bought? Shaggy - ‘It Wasn’t Me’.

How do you describe your job to mates? After my cameo as ‘delivery boy’ in our recent TV ad they are convinced I deliver the boxes!

What is the most rewarding part of your job? Seeing customers post photos of their freshly cooked meals on our social media pages and receiving messages about how Hello Fresh has had a positive impact on their families’ lives.

What is the least rewarding part? Battling the British weather to get our boxes delivered!

What is your motto? If an opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.

What’s your nickname? My mum calls me Teddy. But I haven’t told anyone that before

If you were allowed one dream perk what would it be? To have our head chef Patrick cook dinner for the team every day!

What’s your favourite movie and why? Marley & Me - the only movie that has made me cry.

What’s been the most embarrassing moment in your life? I once tried to replicate ‘the worm’ dance move to disastrous effect!

If you could pick a celebrity to join your staff who would it be and why? Our chef Patrick is releasing his first TV series later this year so we’re hoping he becomes a celebrity.

If you could change one thing in grocery what would it be? A more level playing field for the fantastic independent producers we have in the UK.

What luxury would you have on your desert island? A selection of Prestat chocolate.

What animal best reflects your personality and why? At Hello Fresh we ask this question in all of our interviews, but replace ‘animal’ for ‘fruit and veg’. I told the team I’d be an avocado - tough skin but soft inside.
