Mondelez has further expanded its Philadelphia range with the launch of a whipped cheese variant in three flavours.

Philadelphia Deliciously Whipped will be available to order from 21 April in 140g pots (rsp: £1.99) in original, fine herbs & a hint of garlic, and black & green olives flavours, and consists of a “fluffy, more delicate whipped texture” designed to bring indulgence and a fresh taste to consumers, said Mondelez.

The launch will be supported by a £3m marketing spend, including TV, in-store and digital activity, with Mondelez targeting the unlocking of further new usage occasions to “both drive incremental growth and meet consumer needs”, said Philadelphia marketing manager Jennifer Spurr.

The introduction of Philadelphia’s latest brand extension follows the launch last August of Philadelphia Duo Cremoso, which consisted of a creamy, whipped core in three flavours surrounded by Philadelphia.

“The brand is known for bringing disruptive innovation to the category,” she added. “We believe Philadelphia Deliciously Whipped will offer consumers all the creamy flavour of Philadelphia in a unique whipped texture that just melts in your mouth.”
