The union said it had received a receipt of an improved offer which it was now balloting its members on

Unite has suspended planned all-out strike action at the ABP factory in Craigavon.

The union said it had received a receipt of an improved offer which it was now balloting its members on.

The strike was due to commence from midnight on 27 October.

Unite’s over 150 members had overwhelmingly voted in favour of a strike as they sought a fair pay increase.

Management had previously offered a 3% rise with a one-off cash payment of £100 and 3% from April 2026, which would amount to a real-terms pay cut, the union said.

“ABP’s success has been built by workers,” said Sharon Graham, Unite general secretary. “The company can well afford to pay a decent pay increase, but instead is choosing to squeeze our members’ living standards to maximise profits.

“The ABP workers at Craigavon can count on Unite’s full support in their fight for fair pay.”
