Co-op Wholesale has launched a new seasonal campaign to help independent retailers drive sales in the run-up to Christmas.
The campaign, dubbed Cracking Christmas Deals, will deliver two new deals each week until the end of the year on high-demand and seasonally relevant products, including alcohol, soft drinks and confectionery.
Deals will be available on a free-sell basis, meaning retailers can buy products while stock lasts. This is unlike its traditional pre-sell model where retailers only have access to certain deals up until a specified deadline.
It aims to make buying easier and more flexible for retailers.
From 3 November, these deals will also be promoted to shoppers through Co-op Wholesale’s One Week Deal campaign, featured in its consumer leaflet and supporting channels.
The wholesaler said the campaign reflected its commitment to supporting growth for its retail partners, with offers selected to provide “outstanding value and help retailers make the most of the busiest trading period of the year”, the wholesaler said.
“Cracking Christmas Deals is about giving our retailers a real edge this festive season,” said Co-op Wholesale partnerships & sales director Paul Webster.
“These are our strongest seasonal offers – carefully selected to help partners attract shoppers, sell more and finish the year on a high. It’s a bold campaign, and it reflects our commitment to helping retailers grow through outstanding value and strong margins on the lines that matter most.”
