Pale Glass on Mars

Collider, a functional alcohol-free beer brand, has landed a supermarket debut with Morrisons.

Collider Lager will be stocked in 227 Morrisons stores nationwide, with Collider Session IPA joining it in 127 of those stores (rsp: £6.50/4x330ml).

Unlike conventional alcohol-free beer, Collider is brewed with a blend of functional ingredients including lion’s mane mushroom and ashwagandha.

“We built Collider on a simple idea: take the alcohol out of beer and put something better in. Most alcohol-free beer asks you to settle for less,” said Collider founder, Harry Cooke. “We add functional ingredients like lion’s mane and ashwagandha, so cracking open a cold one still does something for you.”

Collider was launched as a direct-to-consumer business in 2024 but has since secured listings with outlets such as Dishoom, Hoxton, Six Senses and Planet Organic.

It comes amid growing interest in functional beverages, including alcohol-free beers and soft drinks.

Major brewers are now jumping on the trend, with Heineken launching its ‘functional’ Outdoor Brewing brand in May to “bridge the gap between traditional low & no beer, and functional soft drinks”.

BrewDog released a functional beer called Mello in 2025 with an ingredients list containing magnesium, balm extract and camomile.
