Gosh has launched Super Plants Sausages made from “all-natural, nutrient-dense ingredients”.

The sausages (rsp: £2.99/six-pack) are available in two flavours: Parsnip, Leek & Pea with Linseed and Mushroom, Wild Garlic & Chia Seed.

The brand said they were designed to deliver “satisfying flavour alongside targeted nourishment”.

They are made from a combination of vegetables, pulses, seeds and herbs, which the brand said reflected a wider shift towards increasing vegetable and plant intake as part of a balanced diet.

Each SKU contains more than 15 different plants, 7.8g per 100g of fibre and 8.4g per 100g or protein.

“Consumers today are driven by more than just taste, they’re looking for food that delivers real value to their health and wellbeing,” said Caroline Hughes, marketing director at Gosh. “With our new Super Plants Sausages, we’re leading with this health-first mindset, creating a product that helps people feel their best without compromising on flavour.

“By celebrating plant diversity and championing a natural, veg-led approach, we’ve developed something that goes beyond the typical plant-based sausage.”

The brand also partnered with registered nutritionist, Becca Meadows, to craft the range. She said it was “naturally rich in nutrients, helping consumers boost their fibre intake with ingredients that support overall health”.

“Working closely with a nutritionist, we’ve built in meaningful benefits – high in fibre and protein, minimally processed, and designed to support both physical and emotional wellbeing,” added Hughes.

The sausages will launch into Tesco from 13 April with more retailers to follow.
