JJ Foodservice has unveiled a five-year expansion strategy to launch eight new branches and its first overseas facility in the Netherlands.
The foodservice wholesaler, which announced the plans at the JJ Connect conference last week, plans to open its first new branch in the Midlands next year.
“We’re close to securing our new location for 2026 and we’re on the lookout for more,” said JJ Foodservice chief operation officer Kaan Hendekli.
To support its growth ambitions, JJ is investing in a 25,000 sq ft multi-temperature facility at its Enfield headquarters, boosting capacity across frozen, chilled and ambient ranges.
This investment will help the business to grow its product range to 5,000 SKUs by next year. The range has already increased to 3,800 SKUs, a 27% increase on the previous year.
“We’re not just expanding our network – we’re expanding what we can offer customers,” said Hendekli. “This new space will help us serve caterers with more choice, while maintaining the same great service customers expect.”
The JJ Connect conference also highlighted the group’s strong digital performance, with a record 79% of orders now placed online.
This growth has been driven by JJ’s nationwide kiosk rollout, alongside increased use of its app, website and EDI channels.
Meanwhile, the event launched Future Partners, a new supplier initiative featuring ‘Speed Connecting’ sessions with JJ buyers.
Hendekli added: “Every investment we make is about building for long-term growth. Together, we’re shaping a more resilient future for foodservice.”
