New menu launches such as the 60-piece Popcorn Chicken Bucket and Hot Wings Bucket ‘drove incremental sales’

KFC’s UK and Ireland sales jumped 9% in the third quarter as the chicken chain’s focus on menu innovation and value is “landing with customers”.

For the period to 30 September 2025, in-store sales grew 8%, with delivery sales increasing by 12%.

KFC said that value-driven menu innovation contributed to a 6% growth in total transactions as new menu launches in the quarter, including the 60-piece Popcorn Chicken Bucket and Hot Wings Bucket, “drove incremental sales”.

Late night snacking also continues to be a growth opportunity, with KFC reporting a 44% rise in sales during late evening occasions.

“We’re seeing incredible momentum across KFC in the UK and Ireland right now, with more customers choosing us for our unbeatable, great-tasting chicken,” said KFC UK and Ireland general manager Rob Swain.

”Our strong sales growth this quarter was fuelled by transaction growth – proof that our menu innovation and focus on value are landing with customers. With our brand, our people, and the investment plans we have in place, we’re confident that we’re in the best position to continue leading the fried chicken category for years to come.”

Earlier this year, KFC unveiled plans to invest almost £1.5bn in the UK and Ireland over the next five years to expand its presence and upgrade existing sites.

Of the £1.49bn investment, £466m will go towards creating an additional 500 new restaurants over the next 10 years, with a focus on building flagship sites and drive-thrus.

At the time, Swain said that KFC has “never seen such strong demand for freshly prepared fried chicken as we’re seeing today”.

According to the food-to-go giant, the UK fried chicken market is currently estimated to be worth £3.1bn, which is expected to grow further as consumer demand for fried chicken continues to outstrip all other QSR categories.
