Rowntree’s has unveiled a range of sweets inspired by its popular ice lollies.
Fruit Pastilles Lollies, Sour Watermelon Flavour Lollies and Mango Flavour Lollies are made with fruit juice and offer “a burst of summer all year round”.
Rolling into major retailers in 130g packs (rsp: £1.50) in February, the sweets would allow shoppers to enjoy the flavours of Rowntree’s Ice Lollies, no matter the weather, said the brand.
“We’re thrilled to bring the bold, fruity flavours of our iconic ice lollies into a new sweet format,” said Rowntree’s senior brand manager Hayley Nixon.
“This launch means fans can enjoy the taste they love, whatever the season, in a fun and shareable way,” she added.
Earlier this month, Rowntree’s added two ice lolly packs, Fruit Pastilles Berries (rsp: £2.50/4x65ml) and Fruit Explosion Mix (rsp: £2.50/6x42ml), in partnership with Froneri.
Fruit Pastilles Berries is a flavour extension of Rowntree’s bestselling ice lolly, in a Strawberry & Blackcurrant flavour.
Fruit Explosion Mix (rsp: £2.50/6x42ml) combines two dual-flavour sorbet lollies. Each pack contains three of each of Apple Sorbet & Sour Cherry Sorbet with Sour Cherry Sauce and Mango & Passion Fruit Sorbet & Kiwi Sorbet with Kiwi Sauce lollies.
Meanwhile, Rowntree’s owner Nestlé Confectionery added Milkybar Crunchy Pops (rsp: £2/90g), “crispy cereal balls” coated in white chocolate.
