Switched on about HFSS? Tune into our exclusive webinar series to find out

In the run up to the government’s crackdown on high-fat, sugar and salt (HFSS) products, Grocer Vision is running a series of expert-led webinars to help the industry understand, adapt and comply with the new rules.

Each webinar will focus on a key aspect of the legislation and its impact on the market, as well as providing an unrivalled opportunity for those tuning in to put their questions to the panels.

So far in the series, we’ve asked a panel of experts from Co-op, Weetabix Food Company, The Kraft Heinz Company and Kantar to explore HFSS through a shopper lens and explain how they expect HFSS to affect consumer behaviour.

We’ve brought together NPD experts from the worlds of manufacturing, innovation management as well as consumer and behavioural science, to explain what it takes to create winning NPD in the current climate and reveal how the HFSS rules have changed their own approach to innovation.

We also explored how HFSS will change the in-store environment. Hearing how retailers have altered their store layouts and product placement strategies ahead of the HFSS restrictions coming this October – and we’ll investigate what this means for shoppers, brands and sales.

Then, in the autumn, we will be delving into how to future-proof brand advertising in the post-HFSS world.

Examining HFSS restrictions in depth

However, there are many more topics and questions the industry needs to address in the face of the new HFSS legislation. Here are a few we intend to cover:

  • How will HFSS change online grocery
  • What will HFSS mean for product packaging?
  • Which products, brands and categories can benefit from HFSS?
  • HFSS as a catalyst for growth
  • Social media opportunities in the age of HFSS
  • Chilled & frozen in an HFSS environment
  • HFSS x months on: how has convenience fared?

If you’re interested in leading the conversation on any of these topics – or indeed others you feel it pertinent to explore – please get in touch with the Grocer Vision commercial content editor, Chloe Albasini, at chloe.albasini@wrbm.com
