Bel UK has announced the launch of The Laughing Cow Spicy Chilli.

The brand said it is the only chilli-flavoured cheese spread portion in the market, and has been launched to meet the demand for bold and spicy flavours across snacking.

The Laughing Cow Spicy Chilli (rsp: £1.90) offers an “unexpectedly welcome twist for spice-curious shoppers looking for tasty indulgence”.

Each portion contains 31 calories as well as being a source of protein with no added colours or flavours.

The product is suitable for vegetarians and can be spread on crackers or bagels, eaten as a post-gym bite, added to lunchboxes, or eaten straight from the packaging, the brand said.

“We know consumers are looking for new ways to bring bold flavour into their snacking routines, but without compromising on nutrition or great taste,” said Oliver Richmond, marketing manager snacks, spreads & Ireland at Bel UK. “The Laughing Cow Spicy Chilli is the perfect answer, a portion-controlled cheese with a subtle heat that feels exciting yet accessible.”

Bel UK said the launch was designed to attract younger shoppers and spice-lovers into the category.

The Laughing Cow Spicy Chilli has launched into Ocado and will rollout in July in Asda and Sainsbury’s.
