Bodiez Protein Water Powder

Protein water powders in Mixed Berry and Orange have launched via Holland & Barrett stores

Australian performance nutrition brand Bodie*z has launched in the UK for the first time.

It has rolled out protein water powders in Mixed Berry and Orange via Holland & Barrett stores (rsp: £25/300g).

The “category-first” innovation delivered more than 30g of whey protein isolate in a ready-to-drink protein water format, said Bodie*z.

Most protein waters on sale in the UK contained just 15g-20g of collagen protein per serving, Bodie*z said. Collagen protein was “less effective for muscle growth and repair” than its whey counterpart, it claimed.

The powders were designed to tap into “a growing shift away from heavy, dairy-based supplements towards lighter, hydration-led sports nutrition”, said the brand.

They were also ideal for GLP-1 users who required “protein to retain muscle mass” but could not stomach heavy, milk-based protein shakes, it added.

“The UK has such a sophisticated sports nutrition market, so launching Bodie*z here is a big step for the brand,” said Bodie*z founder Bodie Lazar. “Following strong growth over the past decade in Australia, we’re proud to introduce our innovative way of delivering the original and best clear whey protein that is optimal for modern training and lifestyles.”

Bodie*z plans to expand its range further with the introduction of ready-to-drink protein waters in mid-2026.

It comes amid a flurry of new launches aimed at capitalising on the growing number of UK consumers taking weight-loss medication.

This month alone five retailers – Co-op, M&S, Asda, Iceland and Ocado – have announced new ranges claimed to be ‘GLP-1 friendly’ or suited to ‘smaller appetites’.

Morrisons claimed in late December to be the UK’s first supermarket to launch GLP-1-friendly ready meals.
