Fox’s Rocky has unveiled a sandwich-style biscuit bar, its first major format innovation in over a decade.
Called Stack’d, the “indulgent” innovation sandwiches together two “golden, crunchy” biscuits with a layer of cream filling between. It has debuted in Vanilla Cream and Chocolate Cream, both of which are packaged in individually wrapped in multipacks of six (rsp: £1.50/6x25g).
The biscuits are in Asda and will hit other major retailers on 7 September.
David Hebson, trade marketing director at Fox’s Burtons Companies, said: “Rocky has always stood for quality and great taste, and we’re proud to be one of the top household names in the biscuit category.
“With Stack’d, we’re doubling down on those values while giving shoppers the ‘new news’ they’re craving in the chocolate biscuit bar aisle.”
Fox’s is Britain’s second top-selling biscuit brand, worth £326.1m, according to NIQ data [52 w/e 7 September 2024].
Rocky Stack’d is the latest in a stream of innovation from FBC, which also added a sandwich-style format for its Maryland cookies brand and Chocolatey Dubai Style Pistachio Biscuits for Fox’s earlier this month.
This came after the business unveiled a limited-edition Strawberry (rsp: 90p/125g) spin-off for Party Rings in March, followed by Party Rings’ first new biscuit shape in 42 years in April: Under the Sea Minis, (rsp: £1.50/6x21g) in “fun, fish shapes”.
