Refillable personal care challenger Fussy has added Hand Wash, as it continues to expand from its deodorant heartland.
Packed in a 240ml pump bottle, Hand Wash uses the same natural ingredients in Fussy Body Wash – including prebiotics from chicory, sun root and agave and corn sugars to maintain skin’s natural moisture. It also features zinc to prevent dry skin.
The reusable plastic bottle is available in Lilac, Orange, Mint Green and Stone Grey. Refills are packed in a recyclable aluminium can and come in four fragrances: Wide Eyed (mandarin, grapefruit & black pepper), Tropic Tonic (lime, basil & mandarin), Lavender Fields (lavender, geranium & vetiver) and Coconut Milk (coconut, almond & vanilla).
A starter pack of bottle plus refill is priced at £15, while single refills are £6. The new lines will be available from next month via Fussy.com, Boots and Sainsbury’s.
Each Hand Wash refill is intended to last a month – which would help Brits “save up to 60 plastic bottles a year simply by switching”, said Fussy.
“The launch marks a major step in Fussy’s evolution into a full body care brand,” it added, having unveiled its Body Wash in September. It marked Fussy’s first move beyond deodorant.
We’re officially taking Fussy from your pits to your palms with our new refillable Hand Wash,” said Fussy co-founder & CEO Matt Kennedy.
Hand washing was something Brits did “multiple times a day, so making a small, simple swap can make a surprisingly big difference”, he added.” Fussy is here to make sustainability fun, effortless, and way better smelling, and this launch brings us one step closer to our mission to banish single-use plastic from bathrooms worldwide.”
Fussy was founded in early 2020 by Kennedy and Eddie Fisher. Its aim is to cut more than one million kilos of single-use plastic from the waste stream. It has so far cut about 250,000.
