Heineken 0.0 flavours

The NPD came amid ‘rising popularity of citrus and stone fruit flavours’ Heineken UK said

Heineken has extended its alcohol-free 0.0 sub-brand into fruit beer with two new flavours.

Four-can multipacks in Lemon & Elderflower and Nectarine & Juniper will hit Tesco stores later this month (rsp: £4/4x330ml). Nectarine & Juniper will be stocked exclusively by the retailer, while Lemon & Elderflower will launch more widely across grocery.

Their launch would offer shoppers “a trade-up to more elevated alcohol-free alternatives” amid “the rising popularity of citrus and stone fruit flavours”, Heineken UK said.

With 46% of UK adults now moderating [Worldpanel by Numerator June 2025] and the total fruit beer market now worth £127m [CGA & NIQ 52 we 23 February 2026], the new brews were positioned to “tap directly into these dual trends to meet rising demand”, it added.

“The launch marks an exciting step forward in expanding both our alcohol-free portfolio and the occasions in which consumers can enjoy a great tasting 0.0 lager,” said HUK marketing director Rajeev Sathyesh. “Heineken is committed to driving the category forward and offering consumers more choice, more versatility and more premium drinking experiences.”

It comes with Tesco also upping its emphasis on fruit beer, having also recently listed Peroni Nastro Azzurro variants in Limone di Sicilia (Sicilian lemon) and Arancia Rossa (Blood Orange).

Tesco category buying manager for beer & cider Abigail Wilkinson said: “We’re pleased to bring Heineken’s expanded alcohol‑free range to our customers, as the brand moves into the fast‑growing world of flavoured 0.0 beers.

“The two subtle new variants help highlight the great taste of alcohol‑free beer by offering fruit‑led, refreshing flavours that we know will appeal to shoppers looking for great‑tasting alternatives.”

Heineken 0.0 is the second most valuable alcohol-free beer in UK retail, with annual sales having climbed 4.5% to £31.5m last year [NIQ 52 we 27 December 2025].
