Upmarket savoury pastry brand Higgidy has added a shakshuka-inspired quiche to target brunch.
Shakshuka-Inspired Red Pepper & Greek Feta Brunch Quiche (rsp: £4.60/400g) is made with Belazu’s Rose Harissa paste and baked in seeded spelt shortcrust pastry.
Higgidy has also added Cypriot Halloumi & Chimichurri Quiche (rsp: £4.60/400g) and individually sized Extra Mature Cheddar & Kimchi Quiche (rsp: £3/155g) to tap into “popular world flavours”.
All three additions use only free-range eggs and include no additional flavourings or colourings.
They will roll into selected retailers on 8 April ahead of a wider rollout, supported by a campaign spanning out-of-home, in-store and social media ads.
Higgidy unveiled a “vibrant” redesign in August, introducing large windows to packs to showcase the products inside.
The new-look packs feature “helpful” signposting, including the Red Tractor kite mark on relevant meat products and highlighting the use of free-range eggs and British produce.
Higgidy partnered with Diageo to launch Slow-Cooked Steak & Guinness Pie into retail in September and added limited-edition Pigs in Blankets Inspired Sausage Rolls and French Brie & Cranberry Veggie Rolls in November.
Value sales of its pies and pastries rose 16.2% to £36.0m, on volumes up 15.9%, in the year to 6 September 2025, according to NIQ data.
