Shake Shack UK has used more than 35 tonnes of regeneratively farmed flour over the past year through its collaboration with regenerative food and farming brand Wildfarmed.

Since June 2025, the food-to-go brand has been using Wildfarmed’s regeneratively farmed flour in its burger buns. The partnership made Shake Shack one of the first fine-casual restaurant concepts in the UK to introduce regenerative flour.

Wildfarmed’s flour is made from regeneratively farmed wheat grown in the UK using methods that put nature first. This focuses on improving soil health, increasing biodiversity, minimising water pollution and reducing carbon emissions through farming practices that work in partnership with nature.

“Our burger buns make up part of the core foundation of Shake Shack, so we’re proud they continue to deliver the same great taste and quality, now made with regeneratively grown flour from Wildfarmed,” said Shake Shack UK business director Richard Franks.

“This partnership reflects our commitment to doing what’s right over what’s easy, investing in better farming practices and greater transparency, while ensuring the Shake Shack experience stays exactly as our guests expect.”

Wildfarmed co-founder Edd Lees added: “Shake Shack has helped bring regenerative farming to a wider audience through a product millions of people already know and love.

“Initiatives like this help raise awareness of how food is grown and the positive impact farming can have on the environment. We’re proud to continue working together to make regenerative agriculture more visible and accessible across the UK.”

Wildfarmed first made its mark in grocery in 2024 with the launch of a range of branded bread SKUs in Waitrose. It has since expanded this range and rolled it out into more locations with Tesco and Ocado.

In 2025, Wildfarmed also partnered with natural energy bar challenger Tribe to create what it claimed was the UK’s first flapjack bar made with regeneratively farmed oats, and earlier this year cereals challenger Spoon launched a range of granolas made using Wildfarmed’s oats.
