Sushi Daily kiosk 3

KellyDeli UK, the parent company of food-to-go brand Sushi Daily, reported double-digit sales growth in 2025 – but profits suffered a decline.

For the year to 31 December 2025, sales increased by 10.3% to £66.3m, reflecting network growth and continued consumer demand for freshly prepared Asian food products.

Over the period, the business grew its kiosk network from 203 stores to 230. KellyDeli operates more than 140 Sushi Daily counters across major UK supermarkets, including Waitrose and Asda.

However, profit before tax declined 15% to £416k due to higher costs and as KellyDeli completed the transition of its remaining company-operated kiosks to a franchise-led model.

Despite this, the sushi operator said it remains “encouraged by the resilience of consumer demand for the company’s products despite continuing macroeconomic uncertainty”.

It will continue to work with retail and franchise partners to “enhance its product offering, improve operational performance and identify opportunities for further profitable growth”.

KellyDeli added that it believed its established market presence, strong retail partnerships and recognised brand would provide a “solid platform for future success”.

It is not the only UK sushi brand to have expanded its retail presence as of late. Just this week, Yo unveiled plans to launch nine new Tesco kiosks, building on “record-breaking” sales across the sushi brand’s supermarket estate.

The latest kiosks, selected in partnership with Tesco, will open in Bristol, Ashford, Rochdale, Sudbury, Sutton Cheam, Mold, Bracknell North, Thetford, and Clowne from September onwards.
