Lindt recently added White and 70% Cocoa versions of its Dubai-Style Pistachio & Kadayif tablet

Lindt has expanded its Dubai-style chocolate range, despite the bars being reduced to clear in Tesco.

The Swiss chocolate giant has added White and 70% Cocoa versions of its Dubai-Style Pistachio & Kadayif tablet (rsp: £10/145g), which first hit select Lindt stores in December.

The new white and dark chocolate iterations (rsp: £10/145g-150g) are in selected Lindt stores and the brand’s webstore while stocks last.

Lindt has also restocked its original milk chocolate Dubai-style bar, along with the smaller 40g format and its 90g Dubai-style praline truffles in selected stores.

The milk chocolate Dubai-Style Pistachio & Kadayif 145g tablet was inspired by chocolatier Sarah Hamouda’s viral Can’t Get Knafeh Of It bars, which she sells via daily Deliveroo drops from her Dubai-based business Fix Dessert.

Sell-out success

Lindt’s take on the viral bars sold out within just five days of its release at the end of 2024, prompting the brand to relaunch the treat on a wider scale in March.

It secured Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Tesco and Waitrose listings for the chocolate bars over the spring, with Waitrose imposing a two bar per shopper limit to manage high levels of demand.

“We were overwhelmed with joy to see the reaction of fans when we restocked our Lindt Dubai-style chocolate earlier this year, so we’re excited to expand the range further for chocolate lovers to try the popular flavour in new ways,” said Lindt master chocolatier Stefan Bruderer.

“Whether you’re in the mood for white, milk or dark chocolate, it’s the perfect treat in the run up to the festive season,” Bruderer added.

However, it comes after retail analyst and Grocery Insight CEO Steve Dresser last week posted a photograph to LinkedIn of a display of Lindt’s Dubai-style chocolate bars “reduced to clear” at £5 in Tesco.

The bars in question were out of stock in Tesco online at the time of writing. They were still available in Ocado and Waitrose, but had disappeared from Sainsbury’s, according to Assosia data [52 w/e 22 September 2025].

The Grocer has approached Tesco and Sainsbury’s for comment.
