M&S Food has refreshed its Gastropub lineup with nine new comfort food dishes. The range includes four developed with celebrity chef Tom Kerridge as shoppers lean into cosy, pub-style dining at home to save money in the cost of living crisis.
The autumn update follows similar premium dine-in pushes from rivals including Waitrose No.1 and Tesco Finest, and taps the trend for a fourth tier of ultra-premium own-label products as Brits turn their backs on eating out in favour of luxury meals at home.
It features hearty classics such as Lamb Hotpot Pie and Steak & Kidney Suet Crust Pie, along with new sides like Hot Maple Roasted Veg – tapping into the wider hot honey and hot maple flavour trend seen in grocery at the moment.
“This time of year is made for proper hearty meals, either home-cooked or all-in-one dishes, that allow us to pack in seasonal veg more easily and great for eating out of a bowl,” says Kerridge.
The new dishes are available in M&S’s £15 Gastropub Dine In deal, in store and on Ocado now.
