It’s no secret that the past few years have been fraught with challenges for retailers and suppliers as they strive to continue feeding the nation in spite of unprecedented challenges in the supply chain.

We hear from Zena and Jon Tout, directors of Tout’s, which won Independent Retail Chain of the Year 2023; Laura Smith, manager at Sainsbury’s Upton, who won Store Manager of the Year 2023; Asda head of own brand strategy Joanna Johnson, who collected the award for Own Label Range of the Year won by Asda’s Just Essentials; and Alex Bartlett, director of Albert Bartlett, winner of Own Label Supplier of the Year.

For the first time, the ceremony was held at the Royal Albert Hall, hosting more guests than ever before with a performance by celebrated tenor Russell Watson as we honoured the very best of British grocery in 2023.

Register your interest for next year’s ceremony, to be held on Tuesday 2 July 2024 at the Royal Albert Hall.
