Coffee has become an intrinsic part of UK consumers’ lifestyles and now commands £1.75bn in sales each year. As tastes evolve, there is huge opportunity for retailers to capitalise on customers’ desire to recreate a coffee shop-style experience at home, at a fraction of the cost.
We spoke with Maria Kabalyk, head of category & shopper and Roberto de Felice, sales director at JDI Peet’s UK&I to understand what today’s consumers are now looking for from the coffee category, including iced coffee, and why staying on-trend with tastes and flavours is so important.
