Saltrite, the UK's first salt substitute to contain almost no sodium, is on-shelf in Sainsbury's.
The product, which contains 0.08% sodium, is the company's first venture into the retail sector. Its rsp is £1.34-£1.45 for 250g.
"Saltrite differs from competitors not only by providing much less sodium than other salt alternatives, but by its realistic taste," said Richard Scotney, director of Saltrite's founding company Alexander Foods. "All the ingredients are natural so it will appeal to health-conscious consumers."
