What was your first job? As a bartender in my local watering hole, The Stag’s Head in Lisnaskea, County Fermanagh.

What was the first music single you bought? Thin Lizzy’s The Boys are Back in Town. Phil Lynott always captured me with his music and lyrics.

How do you describe your job to your mates? As a wearer of many hats. Managing a commercial function means you are part of all business facets.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job? Building long-lasting relations with clients and colleagues.

What is the least rewarding part of your job? The daily commute from County Fermanagh to Armagh. I have to cross the UK/Irish border four times per day.

What is your motto in life? ‘Aim for the stars and hit the moon’ - think big, stay positive and focused.

If you were allowed a dream perk, what would it be? Working from home at least once a week. Solace from the everyday commute (and I’d get more work done!).

Do you have any phobias? Claustrophobia. I like my space!

If you could change one thing in grocery, what would it be? Less complexity and better planning through collaboration. I think we could all save on precious time and resources if harnessed. Oh, and I wish the guys who make sub-standard stuffed and prepared vegetable options would leave the category to the guys who do it right. They create misconceptions.

What luxury would you have on a desert island? A never-ending supply of Asda Extra Special Italian stuffed Romano Peppers (made by UMI Foods, of course). Oh, and a luxury yacht tied to a pier, so I can go home in style when I want to.

What’s your favourite film? The Usual Suspects - full of twists and turns and reminds me of a movie night on my uncle’s boat in San Francisco in 1996. Great film, great memories.

What animal most reflects your personality? A horse. Quiet, strong in spirit, loyal with plenty of energy.

What celebrity would you most like to work with and why? Bruce Springsteen for his life experiences and knowledge, down to earth approach and of course his music.
