Cravendale Hint Of is an added-value milk for adults available in two varieties, Wild Strawberry and Vanilla

Consumer’s verdict
Tim Kershaw, Director, 43, Manchester
Nice packaging, with a fresh and light look to the graphics. However, the descriptions are confusing as both types have added sugar and the extra sweetness is totally unnecessary. Also, the flavours in both are overpowering, not a ‘hint of’. The strawberry variant smells and tastes like a good quality strawberry milkshake and is rather nice, though more appropriate for a younger audience. The vanilla offering, however, tastes very synthetic, a bit like melted soft scoop ice cream - odd given the ingredients. I tried it in tea to see if it improved, but it didn’t. I would buy the strawberry for my kids, but I shall not be going near the vanilla.

The time has come when milk manufacturers have decided to branch out into varieties of milk with Arla’s introduction under the Cravendale brand of Hint Of. Both products are naturally flavoured with a clear, rich taste to the vanilla and a fresh, fruity taste to the strawberry. They can be used as they are or as an alternative to ordinary milk. I used the strawberry milk in pancakes - delicious! The packaging is fresh and inviting and should stand out as being different. These lines really do offer an alternative for breakfast - or any other use you think suitable throughout the day - and should be tried.
