Nisa’s lorries are about to get greener thanks to new dual-fuel technology.

The buying group’s distribution company DHL has acquired 27 units of Clean Air Power’s Genesis Edge dual-fuel system, which allows heavy-duty diesel engines to operate on a combination of diesel and natural gas. The system can be installed in existing vehicles and is expected to reduce CO2 emissions and fuel costs.

“We are extremely pleased to work with DHL and Clean Air Power,” said Nisa distribution director Jonathan Stowe. “We have implemented many initiatives over the last year to ensure our impact on the environment is reduced this contract helps extend them.”
