Duerr's is spreading honey to a wider market, with the launch of a marmalade featuring manuka honey.
Aimed at the premium end of the market, Manuka Marmalade is made with fruit and manuka honey, which contains high levels of antioxidants. The only other ingredient is lemon juice.
Manuka honey comes from the flowers of the Manuka bush, a native plant of New Zealand.
Duerr's, which celebrated its 125th birthday this year, said the new breakfast product was considered to have "significant health benefits". Priced at £4.49 per jar, Manuka Marmalade will be available in Waitrose from next month.
