Rod Stevens has stepped down as commercial manager of NFRN Commercial in order to pursue his own business opportunities.
Stevens has headed the commercial arm of the National Federation of Retail Newsagents for four years. The NFRN is expected to announce plans for a restructure shortly.
Stevens said: “Leaving will not be easy. There is enormous potential, which we have only just begun to develop. But the time is right for me to pursue other opportunities.”
NFRN Commercial chairman Bob Bromilow, who will temporarily handle the activities of NFRN Commercial along with Stuart Reddish, Chander Hingorani and Graeme Collins, said: “Stevens has made a great contribution to the business.
“Much of the current commercial offering has been created by him.”
