Jevons quits Plum

Helena Jevons, the marketing director for Plum (formerly known as Plum Baby) has left the role six months after taking up the post. Senior brand manager Vanessa O'Farrell is overseeing marketing of the brand.

Gatt new president

The Scottish Fishermen's Federation (SFF) has elected Ian Gatt as its new president, replacing Alex West who has held the role for three years. Gatt has been a skipper and boat owner for 23 years, and has previously been vice-president of SFF.

Renwick to retire

SABMiller non-executive director Lord Renwick is to retire at the group's agm in July 2008. He has been with the brewer for the past eight years and is chairman of the group's nomination committee.

Meaty appointee

Warren Butterworth has been appointed chairman of the North East Red Meat Industry Task Group, whose aim is to add value to the livestock sector. He will be responsible for work on researching export opportunities, bringing farmers and retailers closer together and improving efficiency in the chain.

Freshway addition

Freshway Food has appointed Stasha Napior-Kowska to the newly created role of marketing controller, to help the £25m-a-year family-owned sandwich maker fulfil its expansion plans and hit £90m by 2012. The job will draw on her 12 years' experience at the likes of Parkham Foods and Birds Eye.

X5 signs up CEO

X5 Retail Group has appointed Jacquot Boelen as CEO of its operations in the Ukraine. Boelen has more than 25 years' retail experience, most recently as president and CEO of Dutch retailer Ahold's central European operations.
