Sir; Residing in Northampton and working in Luton, Bedfordshire, I visit and shop at both Tesco in Weston Favel shopping centre in Northampton, and Tesco in the Arndale shopping centre in Luton. The Tesco Northampton is an Extra format and the Tesco Luton is an Express. While shopping in Northampton I noticed a gondola end feature of Pringles on a buy one get one free offer. Unable to resist this offer at £1.38 each I bought two packs. In Luton I informed my colleagues of this excellent offer and compared these to other high street and general store offers for this highly seasonal promoted product. Tesco's bogof was the best. On my recent visit to Tesco, Luton, I was surprised to see the same gondola end feature of Pringles. However the offer was three for two at £1.38 each. I would like, if possible, for Tesco to explain this marketing policy because I, like many others, have been confused by this odd policy on multi-buy activity considering that most multi-buys are supplier funded. To promote branded products with different savings is very confusing for its national shoppers.
