Julian Hunt, Hong Kong The boss of Hong Kong's top food retail business is retiring next month. Logan Taylor  a former marketing director of Safeway in the UK  has been in charge of the AS Watson retail food division for seven years. During that time he has turned the business  best known for its Park n Shop chain  from the number two player into the leading operator. And in the process he has helped Park n Shop build a strong reputation among retailers around the world  particularly for its work on store formats. Taylor said his time in the province had been hugely rewarding. But he has decided to retire from the business aged 58 so he could return home to be with his family. Ian Wade, md of parent AS Watson group, said Taylor had made an outstanding contribution and his decision to retire had been accepted "with sadness". He added: "Logan has led the development of Park n Shop in Hong Kong and China  not only growing it to be the market leader in its field but also developing it to become a world class benchmark." He said that Taylor would help on special projects relating to AS Watson's growing European operations. Iwan Evans takes over as chief executive officer on May 6. He has been with the business for 11 years  the last three as md of Park n Shop China. {{NEWS }}
